As an Admin there are a few steps to take to get your platform ready to launch. We are going to talk you through them here - use this as a checklist to come back to to make sure you are on track.

STEP 1

Create your desired User Fields and Groups. We recommend you set these up first so when you bulk upload your users you can specify which User Fields and which Groups should be applied to that user. You can always add your user fields and groups at a later date if you prefer.

  • User Fields are a great way of adding information to your users' profiles such as their Region, Division, or Department. These can then be used to filter the insights and send targeted comms through the comms tool.
  • Groups are a way to bring a selection of people together temporarily. Groups are useful as you can assign content to groups, send comms, and also filter reports by the group too.

Tip! If you are struggling to decide what you should set as groups and user fields speak to your Success Partner. They will be able to help you decide and give advice based on experience.

STEP 2

Next, depending on what features of the platform you have as part of your subscription, you will want to create and manage users access to the content.

Complete the steps below before you launch:

You can do the following before or after launch:

STEP 3

Finally, you want to add your users to the platform.  The best way to do this is via bulk upload. A bulk upload allows you to upload large numbers of new users quickly to the platform, whilst also assigning them to groups and setting platform access levels, all in one go! A bulk upload can also be used to update current users of the platform in bulk.

  • Follow this guide to create your CSV file for bulk upload
  • Do's and Don'ts
    • Do give your CSV a header row. Don't worry about matching the platform field names exactly, you will match during the bulk upload process
    • Do double-check your data before uploading
    • Do practice with a small number of users first to check your columns are correct
    • Do read the guide carefully
    • Don't have hidden columns, cells or rows
    • Don't delete a cell on a completed CSV if you need to remove data from the cell. Just delete the contents of the cell. Otherwise, the rest of your data on that column will shift

Tip! Once you have created your CSV with a small amount of data at first, ask your Success Partner to sense check the formatting before you upload the CSV.

Once you have followed all of these steps you are ready to launch!
